One of Cal Dive Internationals new acquisitions supporting Horizon Offshore in the Akal field Bay of Campechee, Mexico Oct.20001. The "Viking" has an 8 man Sat system with Hyperbaric Evacuation Chamber, Moon pool, Surface dive spread, 50 ton - 4 ton crane forward and 5 ton crane aft.

...but at the time we laughed our heads off about it.

The guy in the Kirby bandmask was a cop in Arizona. He decided deep sea diving was the go, until he got on his first job. 

We had already removed the 16" hose, installed the reduction spool piece and the new 6" butane hose. When it was all over, I gave this bloke his one and only commercial dive. He decided it wasn't his lot after this.

It took 2 of us to get him under the buoy (the other diver is Alan Mitchell from NZ). He nearly crushed the hose he had such a grip on it.

Have a look at the way his knees are bent in the one where Alan is laughing so hard he lost his demand valve. Alan is looking at him, almost as if to say, 'I am seeing it, but I don't believe it'. In the fourth one the guy is hanging onto the spool piece and looking down, no doubt wondering why he can't see the bottom.
