From S Eals I was going through my pictures and saw this one. The story behind it is one of those that everyone has gone through but I did something about it. I was on a lay barge. One of the tenders and my self made a spear out of round stock and some screws because all of these barracudas where swimming around the barge. Well we started spearing these things and pulling them up on deck when this one guy comes up to me and says "Hey man, do you think I could get a picture with that thing to send to my wife and kid?" I said, "Sure no problem, I will take the picture for you and e-mail it to her when I get on the computer next." He was happy and gave me his wife's e-mail address, but he didn't want to touch the barracuda because it was slimy so we put some rope around it. Before I am about to take the picture he starts to say stuff like; "This is so cool, I am going to tell my wife that I speared it; my daughter is going to be so proud and want to hear all about it." Well, I couldn't have a guy telling lies and playing the hero on my fish, especially when he didn't want to touch it with his bare hands. So I did what every good diver does when someone wants a hero shot... I sent that picture to his wife with out him seeing it and I haven't seen him since. |
