CDI LST S Terry sent in an email she received along with some pictures of a truly bad day fishing:

"These are some pics of the boat Peacekeeper and his fishing party evacuating onboard one of our rigs Sunday afternoon. This floater was under tow when the charter captain drove his boat between the tug and the towing attachment on the bow of the rig. His lower units were damaged on the tow line and he went dead ship. Supposedly, they were unaware that the rig was being towed. The rig, being underway, then ran into his fishing boat. They had to evacuate on to a rig column when the fishing boat got hung underneath some horizontal braces. The rig heard a Mayday on the radio being called in but didn't see a boat when they looked around on the horizon. They didn't know to look down thru the moon pool. That's when some Roughnecks hollered out on the PA that there were 5 men clinging on to the pontoons. As of this morning, the fishing boat is tied up to the side of an anchor boat. As of this afternoon, the boat is still tied to the AHV but its upside down. The AHV said when he gets to location and stops his forward speed, he is going to cut the rope and this Glacier Bay is going down. They will send in the lat and lon of the wreckage to the Coast Guard."
